If you are flying to Kathmandu from Europe best connecting are Qatar Airways via Doha, Gulf Air via Bahrain, Etihad from Abu Dhabi, Thai Airways via Bangkok, Dragon Air via Hong Kong and Silk Air via Singapore. Our national flag carrier Nepal Airlines (RA). Similarly if you are flying from Australia it is recommend to use Quantas to Bangkok and connect with Thai Airways daily flight Bangkok / Kathmandu vice versa or best connection direct flight by Silk Air and Dragon Air.

If you are flying from USA it is recommended to fly to Hong Kong by North West or Cathay Pacific and connect with Royal Nepal Airlines to Katmandu.

Airport tax
For international destination now clients does not need to pay any departure airport taxes but for Internal (Domestic) sector everybody should pay NPR. 200 per person per sector. This Airport Tax is equally applicable to Nepalese as well as non-Nepalese citizens.
